About the Author

Daniel Collins, a 20-year veteran of the wireless communications industry, is currently Chief Technology Officer – Wireless at Jasper Wireless, Inc. He began his career at Ericsson, where he worked in product development and product management roles and helped develop some of the world’s earliest GSM networks. Collins also served as an independent consultant for many years on 2.5G, 3G, and IP technologies to tier-one service providers around the world, and worked with Alcatel North America as Vice President of Fixed Mobile Convergence.

Richard Swale has broad experience in the communications industry, from technology research and development through equipment manufacturing to the design and delivery of services to customers. He is currently Design Manager - Voice, Video, and UC at BT, where he specializes in network architecture and design for both carrier and enterprise voice and data networks, including VoIP, unified communications, and WiFi.

Good book on very interesting topic but print quality is low.

This is a nice "interesting" book. I could not find more books dedicated to Carrier Grade VoIP, or Carrier Grade Voice. PSTN replacements are all over and every operator wants to replace legacy technology with IP on VoIP or VoLTE with carrier grade voice. Some chapters go very deep in the protocols. The book is published on par with books that are printed in overseas countries India at reduced rates. I checked and could not find hardbound copy of the book. With regards to English, I would give 2.5 out of 3. Authors do convey the message but the structure of sentences and words are a bit awkward.

Pretty interesting read. Storyline was fast paced, entertaining, sweet and hot. Due to age, distance and a minor secret, Chad and Lana spent years apart without knowing the love they shared for each other. Not to say their relationship was a bed of roses and didn't have a few bumps along the way. They have steamy chemistry and interaction. Overall an enjoyable second chance book.

Hazel Gower really hit this one out of the park. I usually read Paranormal romance and this story kept me interested from start to finish. I have read other books from this author and this is one of the best stories that I have read. I hope there is more books in this series to come. Thank you for the good read and I wish for more.

This technique, combined with abundant archival photos and the author's accessible writing style, makes the pages fly by almost as if reading a long, compelling story. Of course, this book only touches on salient points of LGBT history, but for young teens who are interested in learning about queer scholarship, it is an excellent place to begin. *Starred Review* Alsenas’ landmark history of American gay life focuses largely on public attitudes toward homosexuality and the seemingly endless struggle for gay rights. After a brief survey covering pre–twentieth-century America, Alsenas narrows his focus to offer a closer examination of more recent events. Thus, Chapter Two deals with the period 1910–39; Chapter Three, with 1940–59; and so on until the final chapter brings the reader to the present—and beyond. In an effort to humanize his material, the author begins each chapter with an individual story told from a personalized (i.e., lightly fictionalized) point of view. While this succeeds in dramatizing factual material, the effort may be unnecessary, since the epic story the author tells of the gradual emergence of gays and lesbians from the shadows is itself a compellingly human drama. Alsenas’ often sprightly, always engaging style makes his history even more reader-friendly, as do the many archival photographs that enliven each page. About the Author

Linas Alsenas, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, studied art history at Harvard University, where he was introduced to queer studies. After graduation, he worked for a year as an editor at a design magazine before embarking on his career in book publishing, in which he worked on The Art of Maurice Sendak: 1980 to Present, by award-winning playwright Tony Kushner, and Male Desire: The Homoerotic in American Art, by noted art historian Jonathan Weinberg, and many children’s books. Exceptional history.

As someone who has been a gay activist for 30+ years, this is a welcome and engaging book. The design of the book, images, and white space is particularly suited to teenagers. The writing is accessible and neutral in tone. This is an excellent choice for libraries and for discussion groups. I recommend giving this book to your local libraries, youth centers, LGBT centers, anywhere that teens might be looking for LGBT information. I clearly remember the first LGBT reading list published by the American Library Association that was all of 1 page. Barbara Gittings was the editor and one of the hero's mentioned in this book. I hope to meet the author should he come to the SF Bay Area for a reading.

This book is absolutly amazing! I dont read alot but i have started reading books involving gay rights to further educate myself on the issues effecting my dearest friends. This book goes over everthing! It answered so many questions i had. i will be sharing this book with many people and encourage everyone to read it gay or straight.

This book, Gay America, written by Alsenas is a wonderful history of our struggle with equality as well as noting the great accomplishments for our LBGT community. The book itself is put together very well with a very nice front cover that would make it look great on an teen, or adult's bookshelf, or coffeetable. Kudos to Alsenas for this book!!!!

Unbelievable!

This is absolutely an eye opener into the science of man-tracking. It details how the mind controls the body as well as how external influences play on the decisions that the mind makes. If that isn't enough, this book goes into extreme detail of how the body mechanics and the mind work together during locomotion and being able to read the who, what, and why a person moved the way they did from the foot just contacting the ground. From psychomotor to locomotor this book gave me the ability to read and interpret human behavior just by "reading" the ground where a person has walked. As a man-tracker with around 25 years of experience, this has opened my eyes more than anything I have ever learned. I can say without a doubt whatsoever that anyone who is involved in SAR, Law Enforcement or military tracking would highly benefit from reading and studying forensic Spoorology.
